What is Telomerase and Relationship to Telomeres

Telomerase is an enzyme that adds DNA sequence repeats (“TTAGGG” in all vertebrates) to the 3′ end of DNA strands in the telomere regions, which are found at the ends of eukaryotic chromosomes. The telomeres contain condensed DNA material, giving stability to the chromosomes.

Telomerase was discovered by Carol W. Greider and Elizabeth Blackburn in 1985 in the ciliate Tetrahymena. Together with Jack W. Szostak, Greider and Blackburn were awarded the 2009 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their discovery.

  1. Having read the Pop-sci article, I am excited at the prospects of Dr. Andrews and his team’s work. I am however, somewhat dissapointed by his stubborn tenacity of searching for the key to unlock the telomerase mystery only through bio-chemical means.

There are mounds of research supporting the successes of the newly developing field of “Frequency Medicine.” Obviously, the pharmaceutical approach is not working out very well. I suspect however that this approach, despite its undeniable success and widespread applicability, will be avidly suppressed by both the FDA and the pharmaceutical giants which control it.

Embryonic Stem-Cells retain functional telomerase activity. Decades old research into living energy-fields indicates that all living things and their cells generate a ‘living aura’ composed of unique energy-frequency patterns; a specific energy signature unique to each cell which serves as an archive of experiential history particular to that cell alone. Perhaps Dr. Andrews should try to “record” the energy patterns surrounding such a stem-cell, so as to capture the frequency patterns describing the real-time, ongoing biological processes which would include telomerase activity. Subsequently, through the phenomonen of ‘frequency entrainment’, he might be able to ‘trick’ his pet fibroblasts, convincing them that they are once again in their infancy, consequently switching on their telomerase gene, and activating its processes. Should this prove successful, perhaps over time, he could refine this generalized signal, eventually isolating the ‘Frequency Sentence’ specific to telomerase activity.

I am no PhD, but I do have a degree in Allopathic Medicine (M.D.), verifying that I am educated way beyond my intelligence level, and which I am progressively becomming quite disenchanted with. I have lost faith in western medicine’s rigid and inflexible ‘Scientific Method’ which is simply part of the means by which Pharmaceutical giants twist, distort, and fabricate the current standards of care. It is high time for the world’s citizenery to wake up and take responsibility for their own health and well-being. Between the polluted environment and the undisclosed dangers inherent in so-called “FDA” approved pharmaceuticals, all any of us have left are just rocks and hard-places.

I applaud the work of Dr. Andrews and his team, and humbly hope that my suggestion may help shed just a few photons of light into the darkness surrounding the Telomerase mystery.

Thank you all for your time…….
